The NDA

It’s always fun watching journalists under NDAs try to talk to the public, particularly when the NDA specifies they can’t tell anyone they’ve signed an NDA. When asked about a terrible game – and unless the recent public demo of Resident Evil 6 is satirical in nature, the game is profoundly terrible – they start to resemble the sad blob creature from the end of I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream. They’re burdened with terrible truths; truths that can’t be revealed until the damage they could avert has already been done. I prefer constructive criticism as a rule, but I think the industry needs at least one person willing to poke their head out of the dirigible window and scream “fuck” for as long as they can before the whole thing comes crashing to earth. The fact no professional is willing (or able) to do this for Resident Evil 6 is a clear indicator that something, somewhere, has gone terribly wrong.

As always, you can follow Grey and Cory on Twitter.
