Tickets for the 2008 Blizzard Entertainment Worldwide Invitational convention and gaming tournament, being held this year at the Porte de Versailles Exposition Center in Paris, France, will go on sale on March 20.
Running June 28 and 29, the two-day affair will offer attendees hands-on time with the latest versions of the upcoming World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King and Starcraft II, as well as public discussion panels, professional and casual tournaments, company news and announcements and opportunities to press the flesh with various Blizzard developers and executives.
“The previous Blizzard Worldwide Invitationals have provided great opportunities for us to meet with players and share some incredible gaming experiences with them,” said Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime. “We’re looking forward to bringing this event to Paris for the first time and offering an exciting show for everyone attending.” The company officially unveiled Starcraft 2 at last year’s event in Seoul, South Korea.
Tickets for the event, which will also feature live bands, a silent auction and costume and dance contests, will cost €70 ($110), with all attendees receiving a Blizzard loot bag, a beta key for an upcoming Blizzard game and an exclusive World of Warcraft in-game pet. More information is available at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational website.
