65nm Xbox 360 CPUs Delayed?

This article is over 17 years old and may contain outdated information

While they won’t run the Xbox 360 any faster, the new 65nm Xbox 360 CPU’s will theoretically run the system cooler and reduce hardware issues as a result. Users waiting for the new CPU before buying an Xbox 360 may have to wait a little longer.

According to a rumor posted on the reliable DigiTimes, plans for producing Xbox 360’s with the new CPU have been pushed back to the middle of 2007. Initially, Chartered had announced that they signed an agreement with Microsoft to produce the new chips in the first quarter of 2007.

Neither Microsoft Taiwan or Chartered have responded to the rumor.
