GTA Online heists are still coming on March 10th.
Sorry, fellow PC Power Pals, but Rockstar just sank your Grand Theft Auto V battleship — again.
According to the latest on Rockstar Newswire, GTA V is being pushed back yet again. What was slated for a March 27th release up until this morning has been pushed deeper into Spring — April 14th.
“Our apologies to PC gamers worldwide who have been counting down the days until the launch of the game,” said Rockstar in the news post. “…a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible, and to make certain that both Heists and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC.”
Anyone who has pre-ordered GTA V for PC will receive an additional $200,000 in game currency (on top of the $1 million they will already be receiving).
The mouse and keyboard version was originally slated for a Fall 2014 release (alongside the Xbox One and PS4 SKUs), until it was pushed to January 27th. The second delay — announced only two weeks before the scheduled release last month — pushed the release to March 27th (even after being reassured that there was no delay incoming). And today’s news marks the third delay since September 2014.
For the console crowd, Heists in GTA Online are still on-schedule for a March 10th release. [Writer’s Note: The original launch date for the Heists portion of GTA Online was March 27th, and has since been pushed up two weeks as it’s no longer connected to the PC launch.] Rockstar says more information on the heists, and other new content coming with the update will be pushed out in the coming weeks.
