Man Gifted With the Ultimate Game of Thrones Toilet

This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information

The folks at Super-Fan Builds have created an epic toilet for one lucky Game of Thrones fan.

If there’s one thing the real world and the world of Game of Thrones have in common, it’s that most people would love the opportunity to sit on the Iron Throne. And while, sadly, most of never will, John Giovanazzi will now have the chance to do so whenever nature calls. A huge fan of all things Westerosian, Giovanazzi recently found himself the recipient of a one-of-a-kind gift that would be the envy of any Lannister: a custom-made Iron Throne toilet.

Built by the Tim Baker and his team of prop builders for their YouTube show Super-Fan Builds, the toilet was built after Giovanazzi’s friend Chloe nominated him as someone deserving of the throne. The toilet itself was built primarily from plywood. Baker’s team also made custom sword-hilt casts that they then used to produce more than 250 foam-bladed swords which were then strategically placed to flesh out the wooden frame. The whole thing was then coated in resin to improve its durability, after which it was covered in layers upon layers of paint to make it more closely match its famous source. The chair was delivered to Givonazzi’s bar Complex where the Super-Fan Builds crew surprised him with it.

As awesome looking as the end product was, I’m going to go ahead and say that there’s something about going to the bathroom on the Iron Throne that would unsettle me. I mean, just think about it. No matter what you’re doing, you’re rarely more vulnerable than when you’re sitting on the can with your pants down around your ankles. Why would you want to take that already risky situation and add in a chair that every noble house in Westeros is dying and killing to get control of? It’s like you’re just asking for someone to come along and shoot you with a crossbow. What do you think? Would you feel safe doing a number two on Westeros’s number one chair?
