A Live Action Legend of Zelda Crime Drama is Apparently Coming Tomorrow

This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

Seriously, listen.

I’ve made peace with the fact that I may never live to see a live action Legend of Zelda movie or TV series – I’ve even recovered from that cruel April Fool’s hoax. But while we may not ever see Link navigating the sprawling fields of Hyrule, thanks to Dayside TV we’re going to be able to see him navigate the sprawling city streets (perhaps also of Hyrule?)

The Dayside TV team (as spotted by Eurogamer) is bringing us the film, which follows Link, Zelda, and Ganon with the popular franchise reimagined as a crime drama. A teaser trailer surfaced last week, promising a release of – yay! – tomorrow. Ganon has a criminal empire, Zelda is a key witness who is in the wind, a man says “It’s dangerous to go alone,” and Link is an overzealous detective working the case. Oh, and Navi says “Link! Listen!”

Until tomorrow, we have only the attached teaser trailer, and a dream in our hearts.
