This Giant LEGO Star Destroyer Has Room for TIE Fighters Inside

This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

The size of this awesome LEGO Star Destroyer is mind-boggling.

There are custom LEGO builds, and then there’s the LEGO Star Destroyer built by Imgur user Doomhandle. It’s over 56 inches long and weighs in at about 70 pounds. In the picture below, that’s the LEGO Star Destroyer set (#75055) from 2014 next to the massive custom ship, just for comparison’s sake. It measures a much more mundane 19 inches in length.

But it’s not just the size that’s impressive. When you start removing the top of this beast, you find out that it has a fully detailed interior that includes detention cells, conference rooms, meditation chambers, and a hanger with TIE fighters and a shuttle.

It’s the attention detail that blows you away, and it’s all the more impressive because it uses no non-LEGO parts. I think this guy might have more LEGOs than my kid (although it’s close).

Check out the images below, and for a full look at Doomhandle’s work, check out the huge gallery he posted over at imgur.
