You can try out the first DLC for Star Wars Battlefront free this weekend.
The first Star Wars Battlefront DLC, titled Outer Rim, has been live for about a month now, and EA is about to let you try it for free. Starting tomorrow, you can try out most of the features of the DLC, including the four new maps, Extraction mode, and new heroes Nien Nunb and Greedo. What you won’t be able to play are Outer Rim-specific Hutt Contracts.
The trial runs through Sunday, May 15. This is obviously an attempt by EA to persuade folks to buy into the Battlefront Season Pass, which would give them Outer Rim and the three upcoming DLC packs. The next DLC will take players to the massive gas planet of Bespin.
If you’ve wanted to check out the Battlefront DLC, but didn’t want to shell out the cash for the Season Pass sight unseen, this weekend is your chance.
