Deadpool director Tim Miller left development of Deadpool 2 due to “creative differences”.
Tim Miller, the director of Deadpool, recently left the set of Deadpool 2 citing creative differences with actor Ryan Reynolds. Now, The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Miller has shifted studios to Sony Pictures, where he will be working on Sonic the Hedgehog. That’s right, the guy who brought us the super R-Rated Deadpool is now working on the family friendly Sonic movie.
We don’t know much about the movie right now, but have heard that Sony’s plan is to make a hybrid CG-animated/live-action comedy family film. Patrick Casey and Josh Miller, who created Golan the Insatiable, are writing the script, while The Fast and The Furious‘s Neal H. Moritz will be producing.
Tim Miller will be joined by Blur Studio collaborator Jeff Fowler, who is set to direct the film. Miller himself will be an executive producer.
