Insomniac Games, best known for the Ratchet and Clank series, are making a PS4 exclusive Spider-Man game.
If you love Spiderman you had also better love the PlayStation 4, because vice president and executive editor of Marvel Digital Media Ryan Penagos has just spilled the beans on a PS4 exclusive Spiderman game from Ratchet and Clank developers Insomniac Games, releasing this year.
In a livestream captured on reddit, Penagos stated that “there’s even more on the horizon for 2017 like Spider-Man coming to PlayStation 4 and Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC.” We had previously heard that Insomniac Games was developing a Spider-Man game back at E3 2016, but at the time we didn’t know what platforms it would be for, and what the release window would be.
Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have partnered for Spider-Man: Homecoming, the second theatrical reboot of the Spider-Man franchise. So, it doesn’t come as too big of a surprise that PlayStation, owned by Sony, was able to snag the new Spidey game as an exclusive.
You can read more about the game on Insomiac’s official website.
