Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters is a turn-based RPG coming to PC in 2022. This fast-paced tactical Warhammer 40,000 spinoff from publisher Frontier Foundry and developer Complex Games was announced today during the Games Workshop Skulls event. A trailer (below) was unveiled today too, teasing the conflict between the Grey Knights and the forces of Chaos that will unfold when the game comes to Steam and the Epic Games Store next year.
Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters’ story will be told by New York Times bestselling author Aaron Dembski-Bowden, who has experience working in the Warhammer 40,000 universe with short stories such as Extinction, Shadow Knight, and At Gaius Point. Frontier Foundry and Complex provided a brief summary of what to expect from the game’s story, which you can read below:
Armoured in faith and shielded by devotion, the Grey Knights’ very existence is rooted in mystery: the possession of any unsanctioned knowledge about their secretive brotherhood is punishable by death.
Warhammer 40,000 fans have enjoyed a number of games set in its expansive universe. Most recently, developer Streum On Studio dropped players in the middle of the vicious gangs of the Underhive with Necromunda: Hired Gun. Streum On’s gritty FPS launched just yesterday, so be sure to read up on how the studio came prepared in one of our recent Q&As.
