A new Starfield video from Bethesda Games Studios features concept art and more information about the game’s Settled Systems. Design Director Emil Pagliarulo appears in the footage to host a brief tour of the “small” location in the Milky Way Galaxy where the game’s events take place. He explains that the year 2330 is a time of “uneasy peace” for most factions in Starfield, though pirates, mercenaries, and violent religious fanatics continue as ever-present threats.
Players will fill their own role by joining Constellation, an organization that seeks to explore the Settled Systems and all it has to offer, which you can sample in the Starfield video below.
This isn’t the first time Bethesda has shared a behind-the-scenes look at this ambitious project. In August, the publisher uploaded a trio of videos similar to the one from today. Those videos focused on the New Atlantis, Akila, and Neon locations and those who inhabit them. Concept art for each area showed a nice amount of variation, with one of the most notable inclusions being Neon, a bustling city that has evolved into a hub of pleasure.
Starfield launches for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S on November 11, 2022, so we have more waiting to do before we get to visit the Settled Systems glimpsed in concept art. Hopefully we can expect to see more behind-the-scenes videos from Bethesda throughout the next year.
