Kevin Feige Plans for Charlie Cox to Continue as Daredevil in the MCU

When the Netflix Marvel shows were great, they were really great, and fans have been clamoring for their favorite actors to reprise their roles in mainline MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) series. At the top of that list is fans requesting Charlie Cox to return as Daredevil. And surprisingly, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has casually revealed to CinemaBlend that he does intend for Charlie Cox to continue as Daredevil in the MCU — in some form.

“If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil,” said Feige. “Where we see that, how we see that, when we see that, remains to be seen.”

It’s simultaneously a vague yet extremely encouraging statement. Daredevil may or may not receive an MCU movie or another starring TV show, but wherever he may show up, it will be Charlie Cox in the role. That’s good enough for a lot of people.

The canonicity of the Netflix Marvel shows in the MCU has been murky ever since those shows concluded (or were canceled just when they were getting good), especially with Disney+ launching and bringing shows like WandaVision and, most recently, Hawkeye. Nonetheless, the latter series appears to be teasing the return of Daredevil villain the Kingpin at the moment, creating intense speculation that actor Vincent D’Onofrio may soon reprise the character on screen. Meanwhile, Punisher actor Jon Bernthal commented just the other day on what he thought it would take to integrate his character into the main MCU.
