The gameplay footage shown in today’s The Wolf Among Us 2 trailer shows lots of updates for the classic Telltale characters, but perhaps more importantly, it proves season 2 will feature improved graphics and animations thanks to Unreal Engine. Players will not be waiting too long to play the five episodes of season 2, however, with the studio promising that development will be finished by the time the first episode releases.

Speaking of waiting, Telltale explained why it’s taken so long to show more from The Wolf Among Us 2. The project was first unveiled at The Game Awards 2019 with a brief teaser but little else. Telltale says the teaser was created to serve as a promise that fans can expect more from the Fables universe. Since then, the developers have been in pre-production, with work now into full production as the teams do motion capture and work to arrive at a solid release date.

Until Telltale has more to share, you can watch the entire presentation below.
