Warner Bros. and Rocksteady Studios’ Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has officially been delayed and will now launch for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S in spring 2023. Rocksteady creative director and co-founder Sefton Hill announced the scheduling change in a social media post. The supervillain team-up game from the studio behind the Batman Arkham series was originally set to launch sometime later this year.
“I know a delay is frustrating but that time is going into making the best game we can,” Hill said.

In February, a Bloomberg report had indicated Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was delayed to 2023, and now that is confirmed. It’s a disappointing move that leaves Warner Bros. without one of its biggest DC video game releases this year. That said, Warner Bros. Montreal is going to launch Gotham Knights this October.
Meanwhile, our last solid look at Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League gameplay gave us a peek at a new story set in Superman’s home of Metropolis. The city is under attack by Brainiac, who has managed to mind-control a host of superheroes, leaving only Task Force X to bring them down. Players will get to slip into the shoes of Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn, King Shark, and Deadshot when the game eventually comes to PC and consoles next year.
