New trailer: Wishfully & Thunderful delay Planet of Lana to spring 2023: It will now launch on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, & Game Pass.

Planet of Lana Will Launch on Xbox Game Pass, Gets New Trailer & Release Date Delay

Developer Wishfully Studios and publisher Thunderful have delayed Planet of Lana to spring 2023, but they have also announced that their mesmerizing sci-fi adventure will now launch on Xbox Game Pass in addition to on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S. Previously, the game was expected to launch this year. The Wishfully team cites a desire to meet higher standards as the reason for the delay, adding that they “need a little more time to get Planet of Lana right and ensure it lives up to the vision (they) have presented for it so far.”

“We also think that we owe this to you, the players, not to compromise this experience just to meet a date,” Wishfully creative director Adam Stjärnljus said. “We think the extra few months wait will be worth it and we thank you for your patience and understanding. Delaying a game is never an easy call to make, but with all the support we have received thus far, we hope to make everyone happy when it launches.”

The silver lining is that Planet of Lana will launch day one on Xbox Game Pass for console and PC. Microsoft’s gaming service has almost always offered incredible convenience, and it doesn’t seem to show any signs of stopping. If you’re curious to see how Planet of Lana will add even more bang for your buck with Game Pass, you can check out a new look at it in the trailer below. Xbox Wire has also detailed how protagonist Lana and her cat-like companion Mui will cooperate in order to traverse the landscape and solve puzzles.
