Atomic Heart combat trailer Mundfish

Atomic Heart Combat Trailer Is Nonstop Blasting, Freezing, and Zapping

We knew that developer Mundfish was inspired by classic dystopian first-person shooters like BioShock, but that has never been clearer than in its blistering new Atomic Heart combat trailer. This is nearly four minutes of visceral eye candy, as the player character uses elemental moves to freeze, hack, and zap enemies with one hand while they shotgun them with the other, and it’s all backed by some delightfully heavy music.

It’s worth mentioning that the Atomic Heart combat trailer doesn’t hold back on the gore either. Whether it’s trying to be artsy or downright chaotic, this is probably our most exciting look at the game yet. Now that you know what you’re getting into, you can see the action for yourself in the video below.

Atomic Heart has been in development quite a while, with Mundfish first showing off its glistening take on a twisted, alternate-history Soviet Union back in 2017. Despite the fact that it’s been five years since it was first shown to the public, the studio has yet to reveal a release date outside of its Q4 2022 launch window. When it does eventually make its way to players, you can expect to play Atomic Heart on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and Xbox Game Pass.
