The companies are touting this unnamed new IP as a AAA game set in feudal fantasy Japan. Speaking about the hunting game project, EA Partners General Manager Jeff Gamon said Omega Force has “elevated the hunting genre to the next level, merging their proven talent for combat gameplay with unexpected and innovative mechanics.” No other concrete details are available at present, though news is promised for later this month. Omega Force is best known as the team behind the Dynasty Warriors series, as well as for its work on spinoffs including Persona 5 Strikers, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. However, this isn’t the first time the studio has tackled the fantasy hunting genre. In 2013, it release Toukiden: The Age of Demons on PSP and PS Vita, with an expanded edition, Toukiden: Kiwami also landing on PC and PlayStation 4 in 2015. A sequel followed the following year, but the series has been on hiatus since then.
