Tekken 8 Reveal Trailer Shows Stormy Gameplay on PS5

Tekken 8 Reveal Trailer Shows Stormy, Hyper-Detailed Gameplay on PS5

Tekken 8 was revealed with an earth-shattering gameplay video during today’s September 2022 PlayStation State of Play. The footage captures a battle between series mainstays Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima as the two fight during a wicked storm. It’s great to see these two going at it once again, but the icing on the cake is the stunning visuals that come from running on PlayStation 5. The trailer comes in at just under two minutes long, but it’s a great two minutes, especially if you’ve been waiting to see Tekken 8 in action since Tekken 7 launched for home consoles back in 2017. You can watch the gameplay video below.

More information was revealed in a PlayStation.Blog post from chief producer Katsuhiro Harada. He says that today’s footage was captured from a moment in the game’s story. It should go without saying that Tekken 8 is very much a work in progress, but Harada adds that this is real-time footage that showcases 60 FPS gameplay taken straight from PS5 footage.

This is our first time seeing Tekken 8 in action, but the next Tekken was actually teased during EVO 2022 last month. While no release date was revealed today, you can look forward to playing it on PS5 as well as Xbox Series X | S and PC in the future.
