E3 2023 dates separate industry business consumer gamer days Nintendo PlayStation Xbox no physical presence do not attend

E3 2023 Will Run June 13 – 16, with Separate Industry & Gamer Days

Back in July, we got news E3 2023 was real and returning next June in Los Angeles. In addition, the folks behind PAX and New York Comic Con, ReedPop, are now producing the event instead of the ESA. Now, we have concrete dates for E3: The show will run from Tuesday, June 13 until Friday, June 16, 2023. There will be a mix of set industry and consumer days, as well as digital events taking place starting on June 11 and running throughout the show.

In particular, the E3 Business Days will occur from June 13 until June 15. These days are reserved exclusively for industry groups and will provide a space for people to network, connect, and attend hands-on time with upcoming video games from developers and publishers the world over. Meanwhile, E3 Gamer Days will take place from June 15 until June 16. These days are for consumers and occur in a different hall than the industry area. Gamers can expect to “go hands-on with the future of gaming and connect with developers, content creators, media personalities, and more,” as long as they procure tickets for the days in advance.

Interested parties in media can register for E3 beginning sometime this December. Things like exhibitors, hotels, and event schedules will be confirmed in the coming months. Missing from the announcement was any guidance surrounding masks and vaccinations for COVID-19. I get that 2023 is a bit far away and we don’t know what the landscape will be by then. However, it would have been nice to hear ReedPop at least considering it. Hopefully, the company will provide some clarification soon.
