Catan – Console Edition trailer: Dovetail & Nomad create a video game version of the board game for PlayStation & Xbox, release date in 2023 - PS4 PS5 XSX Series X S One

Catan Console Edition Brings Classic Strategy to PlayStation & Xbox in 2023

Catan – Console Edition is a video game version of the classic strategy board game from Dovetail Games and Nomad Games, and it’s coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S in 2023. The announcement trailer shows how it will translate that beloved Catan gameplay for local and online multiplayer. With local setup that discourages cheating and skill-based matchmaking, Catan – Console Edition already looks like it could be a worthwhile addition to your board game collection. You can watch the reveal trailer below.

Dovetail studio producer Natalie Dodd shared more about how the team worked together to ensure Catan offers a meaningful adaptation of the strategy classic: “We’ve collaborated closely with Nomad Games and Catan to provide players with an authentic experience unlike any other. We tried to pay attention to the little details, like the bunting that decorates the longest road or the little chimney when someone builds a city; each part of the game has been carefully designed to bring the board to life.”

Catan – Console Edition doesn’t have a final release date in 2023 yet, so stay tuned for when you can bring your favorite board game to your PlayStation and Xbox consoles. It’s currently available for wishlisting on PlayStation with wishlisting arriving soon on Xbox.
