WarioWare: Move It! Overview Trailer Delivers 3 Minutes of Microgame Madness

Nintendo has published a WarioWare: Move It! overview trailer ahead of its launch on Nintendo Switch next week. The three-minute trailer gives players a fantastic look at a small slice of the 200+ microgames it offers.

The Story Mode in the latest entry in Nintendo’s bizarrely addictive offshoot series sees Wario and his crew travel to a fun-filled island that has a smorgasbord of activities. Players will use their bodies and Joy-Con controllers to act out various forms that can be used to progress through the island’s microgames. You’ll pick noses, fish for hotdogs, dig up fossils in Animal Crossing, give haircuts, and engage in so many more mini-games that look like they fit perfectly in the franchise’s strange universe. Every stage sees players fight a boss, with the enemy shown in today’s video being an Octorock version of Wario that spits out cannonballs. If you’ve got another pair of Joy-Con controllers and a friend, you can even play the WarioWare: Move It! Story Mode with co-op.

Story Mode also offers microgame variants like Megagame Muscles and more difficult stages like Super Hard. If you’ve gotten your fill of “story,” though, WarioWare: Move It! offers other distractions, such as The Museum, which allows players to revisit and practice microgames. It’s a great to way to improve your microgame knowledge by training at different speeds. There’s also Party Mode, which allows between two to four players to join together for activities like the very Squid Game-like Medusa March or the board game-like Galactic Conquest.

WarioWare: Move It! comes to Nintendo Switch on November 3, 2023. Pre-orders are available now. You can see a handful of the goodies in store in the overview trailer below. Stay tuned for any updates before the game launches in just a few days.
