Publisher 2K revealed plans to premiere the gameplay recently, but as spotted by Wario64, YouTube channel Modded Games seems to have beaten it to the punch. As said in the description of the video, the footage focuses on the “A Trip to the Country” mission and features narration from Hangar 13 president, Haden Blackman.

Everything shown in the leaked footage has been made from the ground up to create a completely fresh experience. The Mafia remake video below touches on tons of action, with Blackman describing the lengths the team has gone to in order to freshen up the core gameplay. There’s some footage of familiar cutscenes, too, making Hangar 13 and 2K’s remake look all the more promising.

Mafia: Definitive Edition and the rest of the Mafia Trilogy was originally set to launch on Aug. 28 before seeing a delay, with the new date now set for Sept. 25 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
