In a recent earnings call, Ubisoft revealed it has decided to delay the release of both Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine until the next fiscal year, which is between April 2021 and March 2022.

Ubisoft stated the delays are “due to production challenges related to work from home” amid COVID, but it is confident that its current slate of holiday releases, including Watch Dogs: Legion, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Immortals Fenyx Rising, will keep the company’s momentum in the industry going.

Ubisoft also stated that it has made the best of the production challenges presented by the pandemic and that the company’s operating income targets for 2020-2021 are still on track. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is still releasing on Jan. 21, 2021 and Rider’s Republic on Feb. 25.

Far Cry 6 was originally set to release on Feb. 18, whileĀ Rainbow Six Quarantine had a general 2020 release window. Now they have no new confirmed launch date.

This isn’t the first time Ubisoft has delayed numerous titles at once. Back in 2019, Ubisoft pushed back the release dates for Watch Dogs: Legion, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Gods & Monsters (now Immortals Fenyx Rising) for more polishing and quality control. This move was due to Ghost Recon Breakpoint‘s poor critical and commercial response.
