Cobra Kai season 3 release date change moved up January 1 holiday surprise Netflix

Cobra Kai Season 3 Premiere Gets Moved Up a Week at Netflix

It’s a day before Christmas, which, as of yesterday, meant it was 15 days until the true biggest event of the holidays, the premiere ofĀ Cobra Kai season 3 on Netflix. However, Netflix dropped a surprise today announcing that the wait will now only be eight days! That’s right — we’re getting Cobra Kai on Jan. 1. What a way to crane kick into the new year.

Not only will Cobra Kai season 3 premiere early, but the cast will also visit Netflix’s new weekly comedy series, The Netflix After Party. That show is basically shaping up to be a weekly promotion for whatever Netflix is promoting that week, but hopefully, it’ll be pretty funny with David Spade, Fortune Feimster, and London Hughes hosting it.

Cobra Kai was moved to Netflix from the streaming service formally known as YouTube Red after it garnered a following there. Netflix committed to the show and began promoting it as one of its bigger series, and the crowds have followed. The show has already been renewed for a fourth season as the story of Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) continues on and the fate of Cobra Kai rests in the balance.
