Kowloon Nights Is Funding 23 Games, Including Sea of Stars & Projects from Spiritfarer, Afterparty Devs

Kowloon Nights, a video game fund dedicated to supporting independent developers all over the world, has announced that it has formed new partnerships with various developers, with 23 new titles currently in the works. Kowloon Nights offers many benefits to studios that it chooses to fund, including full creative control and full ownership of IP. Additionally, developers receive revenue share from the first dollar, with no 100% recoupment period.

Of these 23 new titles, there are definitely some from indie studios that have made a big name for themselves in the past year or so. One such developer is Kaizen Game Works, which released the excellent murder mystery title, Paradise Killer, last year and is now working on a new game. Some other studios include Massive Damage, the studio behind Star RenegadesĀ and Halcyon 6, as well as Night School Studio, the developer of Oxenfree and Afterparty. Both of them are also currently developing unannounced titles.

Moreover, Thunder Lotus is working with Kowloon on a new title too. The studio released the critically acclaimed Spiritfarer last year. Meanwhile, The Messenger developer Sabotage Studio has already announced its new game, Sea of Stars, but now Kowloon Nights is providing additional funding. There are other notable titles that have also already been announced, such as Rose City Games and Picogram’s Garden Story and Studio Zevere’s She Dreams Elsewhere, that are joining Kowloon’s portfolio.

With full creative control and proper funding, hopefully these studios can fulfill their creative visions and provide us with some great indie titles in the future. Here is the full list of studios:
