Star Wars: The Bad Batch has been given an especially appropriate Disney+ release date. As announced on Twitter, the Clone Wars spinoff show officially starts rolling out its episodes on Star Wars Day, May 4, 2021.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch was revealed as an exclusive Disney+ animated show last year. We’ve actually already seen a trailer for the show, which laid out the sort of action and epic situations to expect. Other than following a group of mismatched clone troopers as they navigate a post-Order 66 universe, the trailer suggests that we’ll get yet another perspective on the fall of the Jedi.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars kicked off its climactic seventh season on Disney+ almost exactly one year ago. The first episodes of that season are what introduced us to the Bad Batch, so you may want to refresh yourself on The Clone Wars ahead of the May release date of this new series.

Meanwhile, The Mandalorian, part of the live-action side of Disney+’s Star Wars offerings, wrapped up its second season late last year. However, Disney has a wide multitude more Star Wars television content on the way, including Ahsoka, Rangers of the New Republic, and several more series.
