San Diego Comic-Con 2021 Has Been Canceled
Today, the official San Diego Comic-Con Twitter page announced that SDCC 2021 has been canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The company previously intended on holding an onsite event in July 2021 but feels that this would have been “too early to hold an in-person event of the magnitude of Comic-Con.” The next in-person event is scheduled for some time in 2022, while the digital Comic-Con@Home event will occur this summer, though abbreviated to three days in length due to ongoing financial strain. Comic-Con@Home will occur July 23-25.

Developer Bungie Has Filed a Trademark for “Bungiecon”
As listed on Trademark247.com (and relayed by GamesRadar), Bungie has filed a trademark for “Bungiecon,” listed under the “Education” category of the site. While it’s unclear what this will be exactly since Bungie hasn’t made a public announcement, we do know the company first filed the trademark back in June 2020. At this point, we shouldn’t take this to mean a Bungie convention will definitely happen at some point, as companies often file for trademarks that ultimately never see the light of day.
