The Escapist Helps Law Enforcement Respond To Code 311

This article is over 16 years old and may contain outdated information

Durham, NC – June 25, 2008 – The Escapist sprang into action to help suppress a recent rash of public indecency that has been running rampant across most of the United States and parts of Europe. Teaming up with SplitReason.com, the gaming culture website remedied the situation, at least the top half, with their new clothing line.

The clothing effort consisted of different t-shirts, ranging from video sensation Zero Punctuation quotations to The Escapist branded logo tees. The tees also came in multiple sizes, so not only did they help curb more public nakedness, they were fashionable and fit very well. “We are glad we could lend a hand with this odd and disturbing turn of events,” says Julianne Greer, Editor in Chief of The Escapist. “We had been planning to launch our merchandise line next week in response to high demand for these tees, but we appreciate the urgency of this situation. Luckily, there are plenty of tees in stock to satisfy further upper-torso nudity outbreaks. Unfortunately, the likelihood of a pants line is not viable, so we implore the masses to consider donning undergarments of some type.”

“We weren’t all that amazed when we got the call from federal officials letting us know our tees were being used to stop public nudity” said Sebastian Arciszewski, co-founder of SplitReason.com. “They are 100% cotton, pre-shrunk and fit great. Because of our combined e-commerce fulfillment and video game merchandise expertise, we were able to collaborate with Themis Media to create a sophisticated and comprehensive merchandising solution that is second-to-none. We’re extremely happy to have them on board and look forward to working with them in the future.”
