What happened with this game? People wouldn’t shut up about it during development, and then it came out and nobody bought it. I count myself among the guilty. I don’t know why. It was like the only thing sustaining interest in the game was the fact that it wasn’t out yet.
But yeah, the in-game commercial wasn’t the worst thing in the world, but neither was it the most classy move they could have made. Maybe it didn’t ruin the game, but career cynics like myself can’t help but look forward and see a future where a game won’t shut up long enough to let the player immerse themselves in the gameworld.
