The evil road-rage-o-holic clown Sweet Teeth takes a break from the Twisted Metal games to invade the PS4’s sports indie actioner Rocket League. Learn how to take the wheel with Sweet Tooth with our quick how-to guide.

Rocket League is on the PS4, so naturally it gets a Sony property secret character. Sweet Tooth, the ‘hero’ of the Twisted Metal series enters the scene if you can manage some victory conditions. It’s a little confusing, but follow the instruction below for two methods — one is going to work for you.

How to Unlock Sweet Tooth [Playable Character]

The face of the Twisted Metal series is here to give the opposition a bad day in Rocket League. Sweet Tooth, the twisted carnie clown with the killer wheels, is an additional unlockable car.

To earn Sweet Tooth, you’ll need to win one round with the following vehicles. Match Rules and Game Mode don’t matter; wins in Season Mode count toward unlocked Sweet Tooth.

NOTE: Not all cars are required to unlock Sweet Tooth. Gaining at least one victory with a wide variety, or all, of the available new cars will eventually unlock Sweet Tooth. Situations may vary.

  • Road Hog
  • Hotshot
  • Breakout
  • Backfire
  • Octane
  • Paladin
  • Venon
  • Merc
  • X-Devil
  • Gizmo

Update: If you’ve earned a win with every available car but still don’t have Sweet Tooth, try earning three consecutive wins with three different cars. Play Exhibition Mode and switch cars between three games, getting a victory for each.

Get a win while driving these vehicles, and Sweet Tooth’s demonic car becomes available. Gaining victories will randomly unlock the new cars listed above.

So, what’s the deal with Sweet Tooth? This PS4 exclusive character is the face of one of Sony’s flagship franchises on the PS1 — a car combat game designed by David Jaffe of God of War fame.

Sweet Tooth has been pretty dormant lately. He appeared in the Super Smash Bros-alike Playsation All-Stars Battle Royale and Twisted Metal Black on the PS3. Now he gets another chance to smash cars, and fans can take the wheel of his iconic ice cream truck.
