It’s not really news that Fallout 4 is plagued by glitches and bugs. The folks at Bethesda are masters of crafting open worlds to explore, they just happen to have a number of little visual glitches or weird moments in them. While we’re certain that there are plenty of glitches we haven’t seen just yet, these eight have already reared their heads.
Have you seen a glitch we haven’t? Post it in the comments!
Instant Death
Sometimes you’ll just be walking along on a raised roadway, and then you’re inexplicably plummeting to your death. Thanks, Bethesda.
Flying Animals
Bears are scary animals. You would think that flying bears would be even more terrifying, but apparently when the bears in Fallout 4 take flight, they become quite docile. As a side note, deathclaws are still terrifying, whether or not they can fly.
Flappy-armed Dead Guy
Just in case you thought the glitches of the past were behind us, think again. The classic flappy arms on a dead guy in the floor glitch is back, and it’s still just as disturbing as it always is.
Nick Valentine is a smooth criminal
Fallout 4 offers you the opportunity to bring a companion along with you on your wasteland journeys, and one of those companions is Nick Valentine. He doesn’t seem to dress like him, but some of his moves remind us of the King of Pop himself.
Invisible Weapons
Sometimes when fighting your way through the wasteland, you may notice that your weapon disappears. Now if only you could make yourself invisible as well
Weird death animation glitch
Sometimes when you get shot, you die. Sometimes when you die, you sink through the earth and into a white void where your body blurs at it moves. It’s either disturbingly weird, or else the result of using waaaay too much Psycho.
Beware the teleporting raiders!
The raiders in Fallout 4 are sneaky. So sneaky, in fact, they can slip through doors that are both locked and chained shut. This is somewhat disconcerting.
Dogmeat swims in the air
Just in case Dogmeat wasn’t already your favorite Fallout 4 character, it turns out that he can even swim in midair. I can’t decide if that’s a bonus, or if it’s terrifying. Could be both.
