Revelations: The Apocalypse
With Jess still in your arms, you wake up from the school. Knoth’s men are murdering the heretic creatures, and it only takes a moment for all the murderous goons to spot you. Turn around and sprint away.
The path is relatively straightforward. Use the lights in the distance to mark your path. Follow the tracks and turn at the forks – eventually, you’ll drop down and enter a smoky cavern with multiple lit torches. The stairs ahead will crumble, but they’ll lead to the mine exit.
Outside, you’ll encounter Lynn. She’s escaped – take her hand, and lead her through the forest. The moon has turned an ominous shade of orange. Follow the path down to the ruined village. The lightning storm grows stronger. You both need shelter.
Go left at the first signs of ruins and help Lynn into the cellar. Lightning separates you, but you’ll reunite after dropping down and helping Lynn to a bed. She’s very, very pregnant now. The baby is coming soon – but Marta is already here. The giant nun stalks after you both.
From the bed, turn right and run down the hall. Lead her in, then go around the second hall to the left. This path leads to stairs – take the stairs up. The linear path leads into a stand-off with Marta… and things don’t go well for Marta. In the storm, the steeple collapses, and the figure-piece skewers her. Good riddance.
Leave the ruined village and follow the path through the woods. More lightning and wind, the storm is getting far, far worse – take Lynn around the forest fires that spring up, and to the bridge. In the distance, you’ll find Knoth’s chapel. Inside, you’ll lay Lynn on the torture rack so she can give birth.
Another quick dream sequence follows. It turns out Jess was teasing Blake about Lynn – they were saving themselves for marriage. The vision doesn’t last long, and back in reality, Knoth is lamenting the birth of the child. God’s voice has gone silent.
In his despair, Knoth slits his own throat. Now you’re alone. Lynn dies during childbirth. Knoth is dead, and asks Blake to murder the child. You’re alone in the chapel, and the storm has died down.
Walk outside. Temple Gate is is ruins. All of its citizens are dead in the streets. In the distance, the sun grows brighter, and brighter, until it burns everything in fire.
Back in the dream, follow the sound of Jess’ voice. Enter the cafeteria, and the kitchen, and find her in the pantry. You’ll both pray, ending the game on an ambiguously quiet note. That’s it – if you want to find out more, check out the many audio entries and notes found throughout the game.
