Midway Marketing Chief on Going Online

In a feature profile about videogame marketing and defining the publisher’s image, Steve Allison, Midway’s Chief Marketing Officer also made several comments about the company’s future in MMOs.

The feature, which ran on Gamasutra today, gives some depth to the close relationship between Midway, and Lord of the Rings Online developer Turbine. An announcement was made in February that Midway would publish the game in North America.

And in the feature, Allison says “We want to be in the space. We will be in the space – with the right thing, at the right time.”

Allison would later comment “Whether that means buying someone, or build it ourselves, the most logical thing is to buy someone. That’s all I can say.”
