Atari’s new directorship team steps in to revitalize the ailing company.
Infogrames, Atari’s parent company, has selected its replacement members for Atari’s recently removed board of directors. Atari will receive four new independent directors and Curtis G. Solsvig III as the newly created Chief Restructuring Officer. Solsvig is Managing Director of consulting firm AlixPartners and has “extensive experience in restructuring and managing companies in distressed circumstances,” according to Infogrames.
Eugene I. Davis, who helmed Pirinate Consulting Group and assisted in the restructuring of Delta Air Lines and Atlas Worldwide, has been appointed Chairman of the Board. James B. Shein, Bradley Eric Scher and Wendell Adair also join the company’s directors with positions on the Audit Committee, Compensation and Governance Committee and Special Committee to govern separate business sectors. Evence-Charles CoppĆ©e, Jean-Michel Perbet and Thomas Schmider will all remain on the Atari board.
