Wizards of the Coast is expanding its line of Star Wars Miniatures and Roleplaying Games, adding new products based on the Star Wars universe including the upcoming Clone Wars animated movie and television series.
Following the release of the 60-figure Legacy of the Force set on March 28, based on the Star Wars: Legacy comic books from Dark Horse, Wizards will debut Knights of the Old Republic, another set of 60 miniatures taken from stories of the epic battles between Jedi Knights, Sith Lords and marauding Mandalorians 4000 years before the Star Wars movies. Then in November, the Star Wars: Clone Wars miniatures will be released, featuring a new Starter Set and 40-figure Booster Set with unique characters from the highly-anticipated new Star Wars movie and television franchise that premieres in theaters on August 15.
“It’s a great year to be a Star Wars fan,” said Sarah Haines, brand manager for Wizards of the Coast’s Star Wars line. “There is so much depth and adventure to the Star Wars saga being revealed this year. Our products truly allow any fan to immerse themselves in the Star Wars universe and direct their gaming experience any way they choose – with Star Wars Miniatures and Roleplaying Games, anything is possible!”
Combined with the Star Wars Roleplaying Game, the highly detailed, pre-painted Miniatures offer fans the chance to recreate their favorite battles from the Star Wars storyline, or all-new conflicts between characters of their choosing. Each collectible Miniature also includes a stat card detailing strengths, abilities and histories of every character in the series.
