Capcom has finally announced a release date for Resident Evil 5.
Publisher Capcom announced that fans can expect the next installment in the series to be released March 2009.
The company said it projected “solid growth” for the next fiscal year “by introducing Resident Evil 5 and titles in other core franchises.”
Assessing its own sales expectations, it estimated 2.3 million copies sold worldwide of the horror title, with Bionic Commando netting another 1.5 million units and Lost Planet: Colonies coming in at 610,000 copies.
Capcom also expects its Japanese Monster Hunter franchise to sell 1.5 million units in Asia.
