OneBigGame, a philanthropic games publisher, is hosting its first annual fundraising bike ride event in California.
“We’ve already had a great response to the ride with sign-ups from industry journalists, developers and publishers. It’s a great way for us to raise additional funds, spread the word about OBG and get a little fitter,” observed Martin de Ronde, founder and Chairman of OneBigGame.org.
The ride, which will take place Sept. 5th to 12th, will begin at Yosemite National Park, proceed through the Napa Valley, with wine-tasting along the way, and finish after crossing San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.
Event coordinator and OBG Advisory Board Member Alison Beasley said, “The ride is open to anyone in the industry. From the keen cyclists to those who haven’t been on a bike for years – this is a great chance to ride through some stunning scenery with some fabulous industry people, raising funds for children’s charities in the process.”
A total of 50 slots are available for prospective riders.
OBG currently operates as a non-profit organization, not a charity; it directs funds that it raises toward charities that help sick children.
