Microsoft’s Avatars test their trivia knowledge in Scene It! Box Office Smash this month.

The sequel to last year’s Scene It! Lights Camera Action for the Xbox 360 is an updated rendition of the popular DVD game series featuring over 250 movies. Classics like The Breakfast Club through hits of the past year such as Charlie Wilson’s War provide trivia material for up to four teams, each armed with the “Big Button Pad” controllers. Competing teams will be questioned on everything Hollywood, from the films themselves to the stars that make them shine.

Announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in July, Avatars are personizable character designs similar to Nintendo’s Miis that virtually represent the player in the Xbox 360 interface and in certain titles, the first of which will be Box Office Smash. They will debut along with the Fall Xbox Live update dubbed the “New Xbox Experience.”

Box Office Smash slams onto store shelves October 28 for $59.99 with the Big Button or $39.99 for the software.
