Play Left 4 Dead 2 at Comic-Con

If you’re attending Comic-Con in San Diego this year, make sure not to miss the chance to go hands-on with Left 4 Dead 2, which will be playable during select times during the convention.

Valve will be attendance at this year’s edition of the geek fest to end all geek fests, San Diego Comic-Con, and they’re bringing Left 4 Dead 2 to show off to the public. The studio plans on revealing the “Swamp Fever” campaign for Left 4 Dead 2, as well as “a few more” of the new items that will be in the game, which is nice, but the best part is that the game will be playable for the public.

All you have to do is show up at the EA Gaming Lounge at the following times: 2-9 PM on Thursday-Saturday and 12-5 PM on Sunday. The Gaming Lounge is sponsored by the 360, so I’m guessing it’ll be the 360 version of the game running, so sorry mouse and keyboard snobs.

I suppose this could also work as a location to stage a mass protest against Left 4 Dead 2, but really, nobody would take that idea seriously, right? Right?

The EA Gaming Lounge is located in the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter Hotel, which is on 401 K. Street. Now, I don’t know my San Diego geography outside of Sea World, so I might be wrong here, but doesn’t that make the Gaming Lounge technically outside of the convention, which is at the convention center? Which means that you might not need a pass to get in…which means if you hate comics but love videogames (like me) and live in or around San Diego, you could get a free chance to play L4D2. Sounds like a recipe for a road trip. Who’s with me?
