The big mystery surrounding the kinds of games Microsoft will launch with Natal may be solved by the time summer rolls around.

Microsoft’s Project Natal sounds great in theory, but very few official games have been announced for the device other than Fable III and a Pong-Dodgeball game that appears to be a pack-in. This year at E3, the world will see many more according to Mindy Mount, Chief Financial Officer of Microsoft’s Entertainment & Devices Division.

She revealed the information while speaking at the Jefferies Annual Global Technology Conference in New York City today. Talking about the quality of future Natal games, Mount said: “You’ll be able to see more news about that this summer at E3. We’ll show you the full lineup.” “Full lineup” is a pretty clear term, implying that Microsoft won’t be showing off a game or two, but a nice selection of titles.

Mount also hyped the lineup, as expected. “We have very strong first and third-party developer support for [Natal]. Needless to say, we’re putting some of our best people on coming up with great game ideas for this, and we’re going to have some great stuff.” Here we have a Microsoft executive reporting that the Natal launch lineup will be great, so take that as you will. She says Microsoft “announced [Natal] as early as last summer so that we’d have time to get kits out and get the entire game developer community developing games for it,” and reportedly around 70% of the world’s videogame publishers are currently working on Natal games. There have to be a few good ones in that bunch.

E3 2010 takes place from June 15-17 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. I’ll personally be satisfied by the reveal of a Natal game similar to Sports Catch, a game I invented where you have a catch using various sports balls. Or, Wall Bounce, where you bounce a ball against a wall. Don’t think it won’t happen.
