Snoop Dogg Teams Up With Norton to Say: “Hack is Wack”

Rap superstar Snoop Dogg is joining forces with Norton to stop cybercrime once and for all.

Cybercrime is no joke anymore. Now, even big Snoop Dogg is so sick of getting spam emails from male enhancement retailers that he’s teamed up with Norton to help get the word out that “Hack is Wack.”

In the recently announced “Hack is Wack” anti-cybercrime contest, anyone that also thinks hack is wack has a chance to show the world. Snoop Dogg is inviting rappers to spit their best verses in a two-minute rap video and then to upload them at hackiswack.com.

The raps can cover anything from hacking, to viruses, to spam email, to tapping into your neighbor’s wireless internet connection. There are already a few uploads, and they’re real gems, let me tell you.

The rapper that can prove hack is the most wack will get a trip for two to Los Angeles to meet with Snoop Dogg’s “management,” where they will be given tips on how to become more successful. The winner will also receive tickets to a Snoop Dogg concert and a laptop with Norton Internet Security 2011 installed. The contest runs until the end of September, and as Snoop Dogg puts it, it’s all in the name of fun, fo’shizzle.

You know, hack really is wack, isn’t it? I had never thought of it in such unrestrained terms before. Thanks, Snoop Dogg.
