Incredible Artist Brings the Best Zelda to (Cartoon) Life

A Canadian artist has depicted (almost) all of the bosses in the legendary Zelda: Link to the Past in a wonderful and lively cartoonish style.

Yeah, that’s right, I said it: A Link to the Past is the best Legend of Zelda game. That’s not to say that Ocarina, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess aren’t great games in their own right, but the 1991 SNES adventure is pure 16-bit perfection.

Canadian artist Matt Cummings must agree, as he’s spent what is presumably a not-inconsiderable amount of time recreating ever major boss from LttP in a series of colorful drawings. (That is, every major boss but Agahnim, but nobody cares about him.)

The art is absolutely superb, with some great action poses that manage to perfectly capture the cartoonish feel of Link to the Past while still feeling like a raging battle. It’s worth noting that Cummings has done his Zelda homework – Link is using the correct weapon/item against every single boss, for the most part.

My personal favorite is Trinexx (seen here) but really, you can’t go wrong with any of these – check them all out at Cuded.
