Valve’s Lawn Gnome Murders Dinosaurs In Fan-Made Game Trailer

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

Unofficial Valve mascot Gnome Chompski is tired of being carried and ready to star in a game of his own.

If you’ve become obsessed with some of Valve Software’s titles such as Left 4 Dead 2 and Half-Life 2, you may be already familiar with the friendly, useless garden gnome, Gnome Chompski. Thanks to the hard work of of the team at FineLeatherJackets, Gnome Chompski now stars in a trailer for Gnome Chompski: The Game.

Of course the parody revolves around the disappearance of fictional heroes of Earth such as Duke Nukem and Gordon Freeman because why wouldn’t it? Gnome’s only way to save the world is to take up his trusty chainsaw and his high-flying jetpack in an effort to destroy the zombie/dinosaur invasion.

The fan-made trailer for Gnome Chompski: The Game features plenty of great moments including Chompski’s apparent run-in with crazed director Tommy Wiseau, famed for creating the terrible yet beloved movie The Room.

If you haven’t had a run in with Gnome Chompski, he’s a in-game item that can be carried through the entirety of Half-Life 2: Episode 2 for an achievement as well as through the “Dark Carnival” campaign in Left 4 Dead 2.

One can only dream that Valve will be inspired to give Gnome Chompski a game of his own. Someday, perhaps. Someday.
