Aim for the Demon Groin in Shadows of the Damned Screenshots

These screens are just a taste of the twisted world players have to survive in Suda 51’s Shadows of the Damned.

Grasshopper Manufacture has released a new set of screens for Shinji Mikami and Suda 51 team-up Shadows of the Damned, probably one of the most messed up games you’ll ever play. The punk-horror third-person shooter takes place in hell, and features some really twisted sh*t.

The screens from Act 1 & 2 of the game are relatively tame, but give a glimpse into the freaky stuff players will have to face. For example, a dude with three faces stacked on top of each other. That doesn’t seem useful for anything other than to creep me out.

The dead girl hanging from her neck is main character Garcia Hotspur’s girlfriend, who he’s trying to save from hell. He must have failed, you say? Nope. That body is probably just a demon in disguise. You see, demons like to screw with humans in Shadows of the Damned, as we saw previously here.

Hotspur will at least have an array of weaponry with which to defend himself, including a gun made of his floating skull partner named Johnson. The best place to aim at a giant demon? The groin, apparently. Who knew.

I hear it also features demon pubes as barriers. Neat. To learn more about Shadows of the Damned, check out this trailer that features an explanation from Suda 51 and Shinji Mikami themselves. It’ll be released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in June.
