A new multiplayer-themed sale offers deep discounts on Borderlands, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and more for four whole days.
This Valentine’s Day you can stuff your face with overpriced chocolate and those little hearts with awkwardly spelled messages on them (the white ones are the best) but neither will be as sweet as a solid videogame fire sale. From now until February 20th, Amazon is offering a large selection of deeply discount games, core and casual alike. Keeping with the theme of amour, all of the videogames selected have a component playable with the friends you love.
Some of the highlights of the core section include Trendy Entertainment’s tower defence/action RPG hybrid Dungeon Defenders at $2.99, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for only $4.99, and the Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition (which includes all four DLC packs) for just $6.99. There’s some other interesting stuff in there too, like Battlefield Bad Company 2, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, and others at what’s usually about 75% off retail price. You can check out all thirty titles for yourself here.
The sale also includes a massive selection of what it defines as “casual games,” all priced at an extremely reasonable $2.99 each. Amazon currently has 223 separate games locked in at that price point for the next few days, so if games like World of Goo and Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath are more your speed, there’s quite the catalog to pour through. You can find Amazon’s casual section here.
Amazon has held some pretty impressive videogame sales through its daily Gold Box deals in the past, but I don’t personally remember the site ever posting such a varying, wide selection of games at pennies on the dollar for four full days before now. If Amazon keeps expanding its videogame deals, it’s probably doing well with them. So, hopefully, we’ll keep seeing more great titles like these on sale in the future.
