“Power and Grace” Abound in New Game of Thrones Trailer

This article is over 12 years old and may contain outdated information

Not much gets the excitement ramping up more than Peter Dinklage and a tiny dragon.

HBO has a done really good job of making sure I resubscribe on April 1st. I know it’s a lot of money, and my baby probably needs formula more than I need to watch the machinations of the Lannisters and Baratheons in Westeros, but I just can’t resist. So much happens in A Clash of Kings – the second book by George R. R. Martin which season two follows – that will put the first season of Game of Thrones to shame. From Tyrion entering the intrigue of King’s Landing, to Jon Snow’s adventures in the North to Dany’s growth as a leader of men, this new trailer for season two shows just how awesome it will be.

There are so many great moments in that 1 minute 47 seconds I can’t even list them all. Tyrion holding up the wildfire. The wailing and gnashing of Cersei. Renly and Stannis staring each other down. Bran on Hodor’s back. The stark truth of life beyond the Wall. Varys the Spider looking over it all. So excited.

As a journalist, I’m supposed to have some kind of objectivity or something, but I don’t give Hot Pie about that. I freaking love this series and I can barely wait until the first episode of season two debuts on April 1st.
