Buy Batman: Arkham City and Dishonored Art for Charity

This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

Bethesda, Rocksteady and other studios contributed art to the London Games Festival auction.

The London Games Festival, held during October 2012 at the London City Hall, has been showcasing original art from the likes of Rocksteady Studios, Bethesda, and Lionhead, among others, and the time has come to auction off those canvases for charity. If your interest is piqued by some of the images seen here, the official website has over a hundred different pieces for you to enjoy, and possibly purchase.

All proceeds from the auction go to support SpecialEffect, a charity designed to help people with disabilities enjoy games. According to the Festival website, SpecialEffect’s efforts are intended to help a wide range, “from injured soldiers to young disabled people who can’t play any other way, whether they are in a hospital, hospice, rehabilitation center or at home.”

Different auctions go live at different times, and not all the art is on auction just yet. Some – like the Dunwall piece – will be familiar to those who played the game, while others – like the Mad Hatter – are more concept art than in-game ephemera. There are even items, like the Plants vs Zombies 2 art, which were created specifically for the exhibition. International buyers’ bids are welcome, in case you were wondering, though of course the price tag is in pounds. I see that Plants vs Zombies 2 piece is going for a mere Ā£155 at time of writing.
