Ubisoft’s Trials Evolution has been downloaded over a million times on XBLA.
It’s December 2012, and the end of the world is nearly upon us… in Trials Evolution. Ubisoft’s downloadable racing platformer is getting its second batch of downloadable content this month, which will feature 40 tracks set in the Big Sand Lands during various stages of the apocalypse. Gamers can experience the building up and tearing down of this area while on the Banshee, a new motorbike.
The DLC, dubbed Riders of Doom, will also feature hundreds of new objects to be used in Trials Evolution‘s level editor. Since its April 2012 release, Evolution has been downloaded over one million times, with more than 200,000 user-created tracks currently available.
Ubisoft’s trailer to accompany the Riders of Doom announcement is just a teaser, but it gives us an idea of what to expect in the Big Sand Lands. You can also probably expect to replay some of the courses hundreds of times to shave a fraction of a second off your times (at least, if you’re as obsessive about your friend leaderboards as I am). Riders of Doom will be available later this month for 400 Microsoft Points.
