Looking to beef up your Android phone’s game collection on the cheap? Look no further than the Humble Mobile Bundle 2.
At this stage, I shouldn’t have to explain to you what the Humble Bundle is. Games on the cheap, with as much (or as little) of the proceeds as you want going to charity. Humble Mobile Bundle 2 contains six awesome games for your Android device: Star Command, Time Surfer, Punch Quest, Bloons TD 5 are available for as little as one cent, but if you “beat the average” (currently $4.51) you’ll also get Carmageddon and Ravensword: Shadowlands.
The first Humble Bundle for Android featured a number of titles that were new to the Android platform, and purchasing them granted you Android .apks as well as copies of the game for PC. This time around though, all of the titles are Android exclusive, and only Star Command and Time Surfer are debut titles.
This time around, the charities are Child’s Play and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Purchasing the bundle will also get you the soundtracks of some of the games included, and as always, everything (including the soundtracks) are completely DRM free.
Most of these games are pretty great, and it’s a good opportunity to pick them up. Android, more so than any other platform, has a lot of crap to wade through to find good games, so if anything, buying the Humble Mobile Bundle is worth it just for the convenience. It’s a pity that iPhone versions are not included, but we all know how much Apple loves people jailbreaking their iPhones to use DRM-free apps…
